How to Find the Perfect Women's Hair Style

Many factors come into play when deciding on the perfect hairstyle. These factors include hair type, facial shape, and lifestyle. Just because a hairstyle looks good on others does not mean that it will look good on you. By keeping a few factors in mind, any woman can find a hairstyle that will complement every aspect of her life.
When looking for the perfect hairstyle, your facial shape should be the primary consideration. Oval shaped faces are typically one-and-a-half times as long as they are wide, and are considered to be the most forgiving facial shape of all. Oblong faces are longer than they are wide, and round faces are mostly even widthwise as well as lengthwise. Heart-shaped faces are like oval-shaped faces but with a sharper chin, and diamond-shaped faces have wider cheek measurements. Finally, triangle-shaped faces have wide jaws and narrow foreheads and chin measurements, and square faces are about as long as they are wide.
Women with long faces should stay away from styles that feature long hair, as it makes the face appear even longer. By contrast, long layers and waves are better suited for round faces. Curly styles are a great choice for women with square faces, whereas heart-shaped faces need styles that show off the eyes and cheekbones in order to deemphasize the pointed chin that is characteristic of this facial shape. Oval shaped faces can wear almost any style, as the well-balanced features are ideal.
With knowledge of styles that best suit your face shape, you should next consider your hair type. By implementing the 'ponytail test,' counting the number of times the tie wraps around your hair, you can determine your hair type. Three or more wraps is fine hair, two to three is medium, and one time is thick or coarse hair.

With your hair type and face shape identified, you should next consider your lifestyle. You not only want the style to fit your facial shape, but your demeanor & lifestyle as well. For example, if you are a woman on the go, you would not want to choose a hairstyle that demands a lot of attention. Busy businesswomen or women into health and fitness should not choose a style with color or lots of highlights that would need to be maintained. If you are an African-American with this lifestyle, natural styles such as afros or locks are suggested. These looks are easy to maintain, and do not take long to style. As another example, reserved women should not go for a hairstyle with lots of spikes or colors.
